William Wideman of Tofield, AB passed away peacefully in his 100th year on January 12, 2011 at the Tofield Health Centre. He is survived by four daughters Eva Wideman, Louise (Robert) Thiessen, Thelma Elicksen and Iola Bernhardsson; two sons Ron (Marybelle) and Garth (Jo-Ann); nine grandchildren Chris Elicksen, Janine (Mark) Heiderich, Keesa Elicksen, Dean Wideman, Robin (Pierina) Bernhardsson, Rikard (Tina) Bernhardsson, Harry Bernhardsson, Melissa Wideman and Seth Wideman; seven great grandchildren Felicia, Linnea, Maya, William, Alice and Agnes Bernhardsson and Parker Heiderich; one sister Ella Mae (Garnet) Burnstad; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
William was predeceased by his wife Lorene in 2003; 13 siblings; and one son-in-law Norm.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:30 p.m., at Salem Mennonite Church south of Tofield, AB. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
