On Sunday August 13^th, 2017, Whilma Mae Lauber (nee Roth) passed away in her 94^th year. She leaves to grieve her children: Beverly (Glen Knudslien), Joanne (Merlin Rude), Jim (Linda), Mary Lou (Bryce Weir), Wendy (Scott Lockhart), and Lynn Reichert.  She loved her 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Clarence Lauber. Her brother Lyle Roth and her sister Lily Yoder are still with us.

Whilma was generous, hardworking, loyal, and above all kind. She was always available and gave of herself fully in times of need. She was a wonderful baker, and family and friends enjoyed her delicious home-made desserts. Many remember her bright smile and contagious optimism. Her religious beliefs played a major role in her life, and she was an active member of the Salem and Holyrood Mennonite churches.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at Holyrood Mennonite Church (9505-79 Street NW, Edmonton) with Pastor Werner DeJong officiating.  Interment will follow at the Glenwood Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m.
