SCHMIDT, Clarence

September 28, 1931 – September 8, 2014

Clarence Schmidt passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Rockyview Hospital on Monday, September 8, 2014.

Clarence was born in Lizard Lake, Saskatchewan then moved to Calgary where he became a plasterer by trade and operated his own business in the Calgary area. Clarence was also a respected member of IATSE #212 film and stage local for 45 years. He served as president and vice president for the local. Clarence’s best accomplishments were that of a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

Clarence is survived by his wife of 56 years Anne; daughters Pat (Terry) and Pam; sons Leonard (Bonnie), Rick (Betty Ann) and Gord (Madelyn); grandchildren Amanda (Colin), Samantha, Jessica, Mikayla, Mya, Jacklyn and Lexy Ann; great grandchildren Parker and Ethan. Clarence was also survived by one brother, four sisters and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
