REMPEL, Victor Peter

August 2, 1941 ~July 10,  2015

Victor was born on August 2nd, 1941 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to David and Annie Rempel. Shortly after, his family moved to Kitchener, Ontario. He was baptized into the faith at Waterloo-Kitchener United Mennonite Church in 1959. In August of 1961, he married Hilda Pankratz. In the summer of 1997, Victor and Hilda moved to Lethbridge, Alberta and have called it “home” ever since. On July 10th, 2015, he went to be with his Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer. Faith in God was a very integral part of his daily life. He shared Jesus Christ with serving the Lord.

Victor is lovingly remembered by his wife Hilda; four children and their families; Lillian and Quentin, Angelina and Josh Williams, Liana, Julia and Sara Gurney; Cindy and John Neufeld; James Rempel; Laurie and Andrew, Lev and Luke Zienchuk. He is also remembered by his brother Leonard and Anita Rempel; brother-in-law Abe and Carol Pankratz; sister-in-law Mary Pankratz; and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm on Friday, July 17, 2015 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S., Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. W., Lethbridge, AB with Pastor Nathan Fuehrer, officiating.
