NEUFELD, Katharine

October 16, 1928 – June 30 2014

Katharine Neufeld 1928 ~ 2014   “At peace with God”.   Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  I Corinthians 13: 4-7   KATHARINE NEUFELD of Lethbridge, AB went to be with the Lord, surrounded by love and family, on June 30th, 2014.  Born October 16th, 1928 to John and Agnes Friesen in Osler, Saskatchewan, she was the oldest of nine children. Mom was a full time homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  Mom’s greatest joys were her love for the Lord, her family, her friends and helping others.  Mom had an unwavering faith in God, which she shared through her actions, conversation and the distribution of paper tracts explaining the gospel. Mom leaves to mourn her passing and cherishing her memories her 5 children: Jack (Wilma), Arlo (Judy), Russell (Gloria), Monica (Allan), Kurt (Kathy), 20 loving grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 2 sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, July 4, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH OF LETHBRIDGE, Highway #4, east of 43rd Street;  4717 – 24th Avenue South, Lethbridge with Pastor Dave Acree, officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery
