Title and Physical Description

Mennonite centennial picture series  / Victor P. Friesen, artist. – Winnipeg : printed by Christian Press, [1975]. –  5 photomechanical reproductions. – 1 envelope.

Administrative/Biographical History

The five pen and ink sketches were done by Victor Friesen as part of the 1975 centennial celebrations of the coming of the Mennonites to Manitoba.  They were printed by Christian Press and sold at the Mennonite Museum in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Custodial History

The Pictures Series  was purchased at the Mennonite Museum in Steinbach and donated by Bill Doerksen, Cochrane, Alberta.

Scope and Content

The five sketches are titled:
1. Sarai used by some of the early settlers
2. Simlin used by the early Mennonite settlers
3. Early Mennonite home in Manitoba
4. Early Mennonite church
5. Typical Mennonite farm in Russia and also in Manitoba
