Lehman, Harley

September 2, 1931 – April 18th, 2010
Harley Eldon Lehman was born September 2, 1931, on a farm near Tofield, Alberta.  He passed away April 18, 2010, after a brief illness at the age of 78 years.

  Harley married Fern Yoder in 1953 and together they started a dairy farm near Tofield.  His primary interests were his faith in God, his family, and the farm.  Harley actively lived out his faith and enjoyed organizing and teaching Sunday school in the Salem Mennonite Church.  His family will also remember his love of laughter and his unwavering support for the New York Rangers.

     Harley was loved and will be missed by his beloved wife of 56 years, Fern, his son Terry, (Tracy) and his daughters Carolyn (Kevin) Bugge, Sheila (Randy) Stauffer and Lorraine (Travis) Braithwaite.  Also left to cherish his memory are his 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his sister Hilda Parser, his brother Larry Lehman and many relatives and treasured friends.

Harley was predeceased by his daughter Doreen, his parents Joseph and Pearl, his brothers Earl and Marvin and two nieces and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Salem Mennonite Church south of Tofield, AB.
