KRAHN – Herbert

 

September 5, 1929 – May 29, 2010

It is with great sadness that the family of Herbert Krahn announces his passing on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the age of 80 years.

Herb was born on September 5, 1929 in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan and married Anne on October 29, 1950. He was general manager for Simpson’s Contract Division for sixteen years and moved the family to Calgary in 1972. Herb was highly respected in the business community in both Saskatoon and Calgary. Above all else, the most important aspect of his life was the overwhelming love and devotion he had for his family.

Herb is survived by his loving wife Anne of sixty years; three children, Glen (Leslie), Miles (Susan), Beverley (Carl); eight grandchildren, Chad (Kara-Lee), Ryan (Jennifer), Scott, Mark (Andra), Brent (Colleen), Jessica (Justin), Brittany, Maddison; and three great-grandchildren, Carson, Skylan and Owen; brother John Krahn (Evelyn); sister Breata Klassen (Hank); and sister-in-law Hildegard. He was predeceased by his brothers, George, and Henry, and sister-in-law Luella.

A private family service will be held.
