Janzen, John

January 13, 1915 – February 6th, 2010

John D. Janzen was born in the Village of Gnadenfeld, then south Russia (now Ukraine) on January 13, 1915.  He passed away on February 6, 2010 in Tofield, Alberta at the age of 95 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2002; daughter Louise and granddaughter Connie in 1982; daughter Marjorie in 1957; one sister Margaret and one brother Jacob.

John is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Stacey (Kevin) Klaasen, daughter of Louise & Ken Neufeld; William (Marilyn) their children Bonnie (Steve) Hain, Hayden & Preston, Faye (Justin) Gessner, Jackson, Wendy (Wade) Russell, Julia, David (Kim) Janzen, Sydney & Carter; Edith (George) Schmidt, their children Karen (Kendel) Kelly, Ava & Hazel, Karla (Chancey) Boddez, Braxton & Annika, Kris, Kimberly (Matthew) Knudsen, Jacob; Wally and his children Jessika, Jon, Jeffrey and their mother Darlene; Robert (Carrie) Janzen and their children Amy, Sadie, Kendell (Clark) Banack, Tiffany (Kevin) Boettger, Matthew; Jane (Ron) Koop and their children Niki & Katie; two brothers Daniel (LaDonna) Janzen, Henry (Madeline) Janzen; 3 brothers-in-law George (Edna) Paetkau, Paul Paetkau, Henry Thiessen and sister-in-law Marie Neufeld.

A funeral serive will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Tofield Mennnonite Church, Tofield, Alberta.
