Boettger, Marjorie

July 24, 1922 – March 2nd, 2014
Marjorie Mae Boettger was born on July 18, 1922 to Ezra and Millie Yoder. She was the second of four children and grew up the same family farm where she had been born.  On July 24, 1947 she married Eldon Boettger.  After living on various farms, they settled on Grand Forks farm where they lived until retiring to Tofield in 1991.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Tofield Hospital on March 2, 2014.

Marge will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Evonne (AJ) Poettcker, Gord (Cindy) Boettger and Glenda (David) Macdonald; seven grandchildren Kim (Adam) Jones, Kurtis (Cariann) Poettcker, Kevin (Janice) Poettcker, Erin Boettger (Steven Grandberg),  Quinn and Cole Boettger, and Reece Macdonald; five great grandchildren Addison, Rylan, Keigan, Calla, and Josiah.  She will be also missed by her sister Fern Lehman, and sister-in-law Elsie Boettger.

Marge was predeceased by her husband Eldon; parents Ezra and Millie; sister Gladys; brother Donald; and in-laws Edgar and Norma, Harold and Viola, Marvin and Edith, and Orvin Boettger, Ruth Yoder and Harley Lehman.

Our mom will be remembered for her love of family time, friendships, quilting and crocheting, gardening and reading.

She will be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at Salem Mennonite Church south of Tofield with Pastor Mark Loewen.
