Administrative/Biographical History

First Mennonite Church in Edmonton, Alberta began services in 1950, occupied its first building in 1954, and was formally organized in 1959. John Unrau is considered the founding leader of the group. In 1996-1997 the congregation completed construction of its church building at 3650 – 91 Street, Edmonton.

The fonds consists of the report to the church’s annual meeting (2000) and an appraisal report on the church building acquired by Chinese Mennonite Church (Edmonton, Alta., 1997)
