The document containing the 1835 Molotschna Colony Census has recently been microfilmed for a second time by the California Mennonite Historical Society. This document is found in the Peter Braun Collection in Fund 89, File 357 at the Odessa Archives in Odessa, Ukraine and is written in Russian. This document was previously microfilmed, but the newer microfilm is of significantly superior quality since it was microfilmed using a newer microfilm camera with higher quality optics than the one used in making the older microfilm.

To assist researchers using the newer (as well as the older) microfilm of this census I have created two tables that can serve as indexes to finding the census data for each village on the 1835 Molotschna Colony Census microfilm. An index to the villages appears at the beginning of the microfilm. I translated that index and then created two tables containing the information in the index, one a table organized by page number and the other a table in which the village names are listed alphabetically. The page number given in the tables is the page number given in the original document and the frame number given in the tables is the number of the frame on the new microfilm where the information is located.
