Administrative/Biographical History

David Dick was born in 1931 in Coaldale, Alberta to Johann and Elisabeth (Regehr) Dick.  He attended the Alberta Mennonite High  School, graduating in 1950.  After graduation he served for a number of years as editor of a “Post Grad” newsletter for former students of the Alberta Mennonite High School.
In 1956 David married Elfrieda Pauls.  Together they had five children: Harold, Marion, John (“Stan”), Valorie, and Vernon. David has been a teacher and administrator in the public school system in Alberta. He and Elfrieda were members of the Mennonite Brethren Church.  David died in Winnipeg in 2019.

Scope & Content

The fonds consists Accession 2004.036 which contains correspondence with Leland Harder of North Newton, Kansas, concerning Harder (David’s grandmother) genealogy.

Accession 2017.031 consists of copies of the Alberta Mennonite High School “Post Grad” newsletters, 1950 to 1959, edited by David Dick.
