Reuben went home to be with his lord and saviour Jesus Christ on September 7th surrounded by his family.

Reuben was born on a farm near Didsbury, AB into a large family. As a young man he moved to Calgary where he and his wife, Edna, raised their family. For 29 years he worked with All Rush Messenger and Express. Reuben worshiped and served at Parkdale Missionary Church and then later at Centre Street Church.

Reuben will be remembered for his 55+ years of beautiful organ ministry, helpful handy man skills and amazing woodworking talent. He was someone who was always willing to serve others. His friendliness and sense of humour will be missed by many.

Reuben is survived by his loving wife, Edna; daughters Lori Ann Schmalz (Dave) of Yorkton, SK and Coleen Punter (Graham) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Abby and Amy Schmalz; siblings, Frank Neufeld (Susie) of Olds, AB, Erdman Neufeld of Lacombe, AB, David Neufeld (Martha) of Didsbury, AB, John Neufeld (Selma) of Didsbury, AB, Leonard Neufeld (Ann) of Didsbury, AB, Esther Christenson (Alex) of Sexsmith, AB; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Reuben was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Margaret Neufeld of Didsbury, AB; and siblings, Ben Neufeld of Abbotsford, BC, Henry Neufeld of Calgary, AB and Frieda Martens of Didsbury, AB.

A Memorial Service will be held at Centre Street Church “Central Campus” (3900 – 2nd Street N.E) on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
