On November 15, 2016, John Klassen, loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather was called to his heavenly home. He leaves behind to mourn Irene (Epp), his wife of 66 years, two daughters Ruth (Jim Griffeth), Blanc/Joanne, two sons Richard (Sandee Walde), Robert (Kathryn Wittenberg), six grandchildren Keri (Derek Clason), Steven Froese (Jennifer), Emily (Mark), Romie (Ben), Andrea (Nigel Connors), Kevin, and two great- grandchildren Noah Clason and Olivia Clason and many friends and relatives. John enjoyed life and his 35 years of service with the Calgary Fire Department, his many years of volunteering with Mennonite Central Committee, his many odd jobs and being a handyman around the home and neighborhood. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church (2600 Richmond Rd.
