Beriault, Karen

BERIAULT, Karen Lynn 1955 – 2002 Micah 6:8 Karen (Schellenberg) Beriault passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2002. She is survived by her husband Michael and their children, John, Adam, Kaelin and Paul. She is also survived by her parents, John and Ina Schellenberg of Calgary; her parents-in-law, Paul and Lillian Beriault of Pembroke, Ontario; and her siblings, sisters, Gail Schellenberg, Kim (Byron) Thiessen; her brothers, Terry (Brenda Roth), Craig (Elaine Unrau), Bob (Sandi Hildebrand), and Jeff (Ingrid Janssen); and her many beloved nieces and nephews. She was baptized in the Christian faith and was a longtime member of Foothills Mennonite Church, Calgary, Alberta. Karen graduated from Crescent Heights High School, Calgary, received her diploma in Biblical Studies from Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, B.C. and her B.Ed. degree from the University of Calgary. She taught briefly with the Calgary Board of Education, but spent most of her professional career at Menno Simons Christian School, serving as teacher, member of the Board and parent volunteer. A public viewing was held at Foothills Mennonite Church, 2115 Urbana Road N.W., Calgary, on Thursday evening, June 27, 2002 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. A public celebration of Karen’s life will be held at Dalhousie (MB) Community Church, 5511 Baroc Road N.W., Calgary on Friday afternoon, June 28, 2002 at 3:00 p.m.
